Pennsylvania
The Pennsylvania colony is one of the 13 original colonies here across the seas. We were founded in 1682 as a small colony by William Penn, but we continue to expand and bring more people here everyday. You could also be one of those people to make history as one of the citizens of the 13 colonies. Come and discover the new world for yourself.
Geography
Pennsylvania is considered to be a part of the Middle Colonies, which is just between the New England and Southern regions, you could say we are in the Goldilocks zone, its just right. The land is almost completely covered by mountains, hills, and forests and the Appalachian Mountains runs straight through us. Which is perfect if you want privacy and isolation. Not only that, but the soil is rich and fertile which is ideal for farmers. Pennsylvania is also home to many deep and useful rivers, unlike any other colony. So if you are a farmer or you just want to go away from all of the bustle of Europe, this colony is perfect for you.
Economy
Pennsylvania has one of the strongest economies than any other colony, due to its rich farmland. Crops such as wheat, corn, rye, and flax are the main crops sold in our economy. In Pennsylvania, we also have raw materials such as timber, furs, coal, and iron which can bring in new job opportunities. Iron ore is our most valuable resource and we produce iron products like tools, plows, and kettles. So if you are a farmer or a skilled craftsman you will cherish in our prestigious economy.
Religion
Here at Pennsylvania we believe in religious freedom and we are not dominated by a certain religion. So we welcome Quakers, Catholics, Lutherans, and any other religious preference. Even our creator, William Penn, would always promote religious tolerance to all of the colonies. So if you are tired of the enforced religious nature of Europe then come to Pennsylvania.
Politics
At Pennsylvania we have what we call a Proprietary government. That means we are owned by a proprietor (or an owner of property) that was given by the English Crown who had full governing rights. These proprietors are given the job of supervising and developing our colony. And of course our proprietor is William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania. This Proprietary government is good for people who want to get away from English ruling, but might still be royal to the Crown. If you don't believe this is a good way a ruling, you may want to travel here anyway, there has been some rumors of change coming about the colonies.
Advancements
The colonies are much different than England, even the architecture is different. Log cabins are the majority of houses in the colonies, which you will love if you enjoy the outdoors. Not everything is log cabins though, some people with the money can make beautiful mansions that will always catch your eye. In Pennsylvania we also have farmhouses, unlike some other colonies. The farmhouses are used to enrich the farming community and make farming much easier. Pennsylvania is the absolute perfect place for you if you love farming, if I haven't stressed that enough.
